REVIEW

• Meeting for Expediting Self Assessment
  Activities of Faculty of Islamic Studies held on
  10-01-2011 (Monday) in the Committee Room of
  Faculty of Islamic Studies, University of the
  Punjab, Lahore.
• PROGRESS
• Several letters and reminders also sent to the
  Departments under Faculty of Islamic Studies for
  the submission of their SARs.
• No progress from any department of the Faculty
  is observed during last two years.

LATEST STAUTS

• Program Teams for most of the departments/
  institutes/ colleges/ centers have been formed.
• Self Assessment Reports of 38 departments/
  institutes/ colleges/ centers have been received
  and reviewed by QEC according to Self Assessment
  Manual (SAM).
• At the same time, executive summaries
  implementation plans of 17 audited departments/
  institutes/ colleges/ centers have been sent to
  the respective departments, HEC and Worthy Vice
  Chancellor of the University for further
  necessary action to enhance the quality of
  education.

TEACHERS COURSES EVALUATION

• In order to enhance the quality of education
  recently, QEC has circulated a newly developed
  survey forms related to the teachers and courses
  evaluation forms under the direction of Worthy
  Vice Chancellor and HEC.
• HODs will share the results of these survey forms
  with QEC as well as the Worthy Vice Chancellor of
  the University at the end of each semester and
  also bring any change if required.

FUTURE PLAN

• To motivate the program team members for the
  implementation of Self Assessment Manual (SAM) by
  carrying out the meetings at departmental level.
  It may also include the visit of individual
  departments by QEC team if found necessary.
• Follow up with changes suggested by QEC with
  departments who have sent their SARs is also
  underway.
• Follow up for the submission of SARs is already
  started and will continue as well.
• Follow up of the Teachers and Courses Evaluation
  forms is also underway.
• Implementation plans submitted by different
  departments will also be followed up.
