• The white stars stand for the 50 states in the
  U.S.A.
• The flag flies at schools and government
  buildings.
• Look for the flag on the flagpole outside our
  school.

• The statue was begun in 1875, but didnt get
  finished until 1886.
• It is a national monument located in New York
  harbor.
• The woman is Lady Liberty.
• Her shoe size is 879.

• On July 8, 1776, they rang the liberty bell to
  let everyone know they were reading the
  Declaration of Independence aloud.
•  Tourists (people that are traveling to visit
  other places) can visit the Liberty Bell in
  Philadelphia.
• No one is allowed ot ring the bell today, because
  it has a crack.
