There are an estimated 84 genera and 2380
species, including 7 genera and 13 species native
to Washington State. Dr. Romey Haberle will
discuss variation and relationships of our
natives and describe current research on the
biogeography of North American bluebells.
Romey Haberle is an assistant professor of
biology at Pacific Lutheran University where her
areas of emphasis are plant systematics and
evolution. She received her PH.D. in Botany at
the University of Texas in 2006.
