The Last Supper became a subject of many artists.
The scene shows Jesus Christ and his 12 disciples
during supper on the day when Jesus was betrayed
and taken captive. He was later crucified.

  • Latin has deteriorated during the Middle Ages and
    became more simple
  • the humanists turned back to the original/ pure
    ancient Latin through copies of ancient works
