Meeting Europe in Stockholm
4
Stockolm
Is this a Metropolis or it is not? This was my
first contact! In this visit my espectations were
to encounter all the sadness and cold weather
typical of any gray northern-European Capital
city.
5
But nothing of this sort, however. If anything,
it prompted my curiosity, so I ended up exploring
the city even further, deep into its
medieval-Viking heart and I was really surprised
! I eagerly hunt for any hints or cues that would
make me understand the city origins and how it is
connected to the rest of European history.
6
Inadvertenly, I bump into a cow-shape sculpture
that makes me think that Stockholm is not just
like any other city grown off some medieval plan
but a slick, trendy town, more fashionable now
then ever.
7
People here take artistry a step further and the
tourists record the moments with their cameras.
8
17th Underground Level Going down, all the way
down to the 17 th level, the guts of
Stockholm. Perhaps reaching the soul of this
magic city.
9
One doesent find the boring and anonymous grey
color of typical metro stations but an explosion
of colors, ornaments, art, and eyes capturing
decorated vaults, which keep my eyes wandering in
amusement.
10
Now up again into ground level. Now I can see the
water, the blue water of the countless canals and
lagoons surrounding Stockholm.
The water seems to creep into town, touch
streets, flow into the houses and embrace people.
11
Canals are like light blue ribbons onto which old
Viking-vessels arise. Just besides are brand new
ferryboats ready to take people down to the other
side of the just for half-crown.

Confessions of an italian taking the course
Marisa Mazzon
13
Introducing myself
Marisa Mazzon works at the C.T.P. of Prata di
Pordenone and takes pride in teaching the italian
language to foreign students who come from all
over the word to learn the language. She states
The biggest part of my students are looking for
a job and they often share living space with
other friends. Theirs families (wives and
children) are back in their country of origin but
they all hope to join together soon in Italy.
Theyre really interesting in learning italian
and they want to be included in our
comunity. They are going to be the new European
citizen.
14
Subject n2 It woul be pretentious to claim that
a hard week of work is all it took to establish a
European spirit of collaboration and cultural
exchange among all the partecipants. After all, a
week is a very short period of time.
15
I belive, however, that who partecipated to this
experience benefited greatly in cultural
knowledge and methodology since everyone was able
to grasp on to the final objective with the same
identical spirit that led the program organizers.
In my opinion, what emerged clearly from this
experience was the methods and procedure adopted
by the organizers and the tutors. An open mind
frame characterized it, along with and ahead
culture more advanced then other European
countries.
16
I believe that there is much to be learned from
this experience, specifically in the realm of my
profession ethics and how this concept of
European Entity should be somehow incorporated
into our own reality in spite of whatever
regional peculiarity I may be experiencing in
this country. This new attitude would bring by
all means a new communal conscience.
17
In order to reach our common objective we should
focus on the following important points
  • Language in all its aspects.
  • The communication approch and gestural
    expressiveness.
  • Awareness of cohabitation and diversity.

18
A good level of European cooperation can only be
a time of transition which marks a more ambtious
global cooperation.
