6The Ascension
Rewarding the Son Releasing the Spirit
Revealing the Father
7Rewarding the Son
God raised Christ from the dead and seated him
at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far
above all rule and authority, power and dominion
and God placed all things under his feet and
appointed him to be head over every-thing for the
church. Ephesians 120-22
8Rewarding the Son
Pleading our case Preparing our place
Perfecting our grace
9Pleading our case
Christ Jesus who died more than that, who was
raised to life is at the right hand of God and
is also interceding for us.
Romans 834
10Preparing our place
My Fathers house has many rooms if that were
not so, would I have told you that I am going
there to prepare a place for you?
John 142
11Perfecting our grace
Be wise in the way you act towards outsiders
make the most of every opportunity. Let your
conversation be always full of grace, seasoned
with salt, so that you may know how to answer
everyone. Colossians 45-6
12Releasing the Spirit
Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my
Father promised, which you have heard me speak
about. For John baptised with water, but in a few
days you will be baptised with the Holy
Spirit. verse 3
13Releasing the Spirit
Energising with power Equipping with gifts
Enriching with fruit
14Energising with power
You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has
come upon you. verse 8 I am going to send
you what my Father has promised but stay in the
city until you have been clothed with power from
on high. Luke 2448-49
15Equipping with gifts
To one there is given through the Spirit a
message of wisdom, to another a mess-age of
knowledge, to another faith, to another gifts of
healing, to another mira-culous powers, to
another prophecy, to another distinguishing
between spirits, to another speaking in different
kinds of tongues, and to still another the
inter-pretation of tongues. 2 Cor. 128-10
16Equipping with gifts
God has placed in the church first of all
apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then
miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of
administration, and of different kinds of
tongues. 2 Cor. 1228
17Equipping with gifts
But grace was given to each of us according to
the measure of Christs gift and his gifts were
that some should be apostles, some prophets, some
evangelists, some pastors and teachers.
Ephesians 411
18Enriching with fruit
The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
patience (forbearance), kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.
Galatians 522-23
19Revealing the Father
What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and
what no human mind has conceived the things God
has prepared for those who love him these are
the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.
1 Corinthians 2 9,10
20Revealing the Father
Through his Word By our Witness To the World
21Through his Word
After they prayed, the place where they were
meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with
the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God
boldly. Acts 431
22By our witness
You will be my witnesses verse 8
When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you
from the Father the Spirit of truth who goes
out from the Father he will testify about
me. And you also must testify, for you have been
with me from the beginning.' John
1526-27
23To the world
You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in
all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the
earth. verse 8

them in the name of the Father, the Son and the
Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything
