Challenges with Personal Leadership
  • Not feeling I understand all the moving parts
that make up the JLO organization as a whole
  • I worry about how decisions I make will be
perceived by my peers and that I want to be my
    best always, to everyone
  • Sometimes I feel criticized or annoyed when
    presented with a suggestion
  • Less effective when presenting before an audience
    (2)

12
Challenges with Personal Leadership
  • I often prioritize my professional and family
    life over my health
  • Being heard/I am easily frustrated when my voice
    has not been heard
  • I often get frustrated with those who dont
listen (verbal instructions or in email) I am
trying to figure out how to communicate better so
    others will listen
  • As a leader in a volunteer organization hard to
    hold people accountable
  • Staying focused on priorities and understanding
the intentions vs. impacts of each activity on
    the priorities

13
Challenges with Personal Leadership
  • I feel like herding cats
  • I need help with knowing how to work through
    conflict in a group setting
  • I dont recognize aspects of myself that others
    admire
  • Giving grace to myself if I make a mistake or
get behind I dont always give myself the grace
I need to admit it, pick it up, and move forward
    again
  • Having patience
  • Delegation
  • Hard time delegating vs. doing things myself
  • Delegation Providing the right mix of support
    and hands off!
  • Keeping the flow of the group stable while still
    delegating tasks
