Mouse Operations
         Click to click on an object, point to
the object with the mouse, and press and release
the left mouse button.   Right click Point
the mouse and then clicking the right mouse
button is used to display the short-cut menu for
that item.     Double click Point the mouse to
an item and click the left button twice, rapidly.
This is used to start programs and open
files.     Drag Pressing and holding one of
the mouse buttons, while moving the mouse is used
to move items or select multiple items on the
screen.   U Using the Right Mouse Button
When you click on the right mouse button, you
will see a shortcut menu for the object you right
click on. For example, if you place the mouse
over the Recycle Bin icon on the desktop, you
will see menu items that refer to features of the
Recycle Bin. If you right click on the clock in
the system tray in the bottom right corner of the
desktop, you will see menu items that refer to
the date and time.   T This is what is called a
"context sensitive" menu. A context sensitive
menu changes depending on where the mouse pointer
is located. In most windows programs the right
mouse button provides a menu of shortcuts, to
make your work more efficient. Experiment with
the right mouse button.

Switching between Windows  Hold down the ALT key
and press the tab key until you have selected the
desired window. Once the desired window is
selected, release both the ALT and TAB keys.
Tasks Not Responding   To end a hanging task
without shutting down the computer, press and
release the CTRL-ALT-DELETE keys at the same time
(simultaneously). The Close Program dialog box
will be displayed.   Select the appropriate task
(will usually say not responding) and press
the End Task button.   CAUTION Once the Close
Program dialog box is displayed, by pressing
CTRL-ALT-DELETE again, you will shutdown your
computer and lose any unsaved information.
