3- One man runs a marathon to raise money for one
chair in 1989.. - Since then, over 18,000 disabled children and
young people across the UK have taken the
Whizz-Kidz Journey, embracing the opportunity
to achieve their full potential. - Our aim is to ensure that every disabled child
has an opportunity to be something speciala kid. - Our vision is that all disabled childrens lives
are full of fun, friendship and the potential
for independence. - There are currently around 70,000 disabled
children in the UK waiting for a wheelchairthat
fits their needs and their potential. - As the UKs leading childrens mobility charity
we provide - transformational mobility equipment,
- bespoke life skills services, and
- help and support

6- Children with life-limiting conditions are living
longer and thus require better transition support
into adulthood. - What are the issues and opportunities for young
people with life limiting conditions and for
their families/carers in managing their own best
transition to becoming young adults - How can we better tackle these challenges
together?

- To help increase your capacity to continue
to deliver quality support to young
wheelchair users with life- limiting conditions
in palliative care settings and to help us to
extend our reach to more young people, families
and other partners - Whizz-Kidz are very keen to provide free Work
Placement and Work Skills support to these
partners and the young wheelchair users that
they serve - To explore delivering Wheelchair Skills
Training/sports sessions for young wheelchair
users at these settings potentially taster
sessions, Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced

esteem - e.g. Wheelchair dance, martial
arts, learning to drive - Involvement with friends, siblings and families

community involvement
