2Library User Responsibilities
- Handle library materials carefully.
- Safeguard library materials forfuture users.
3Always handle library materials with clean, dry
hands.
4Never pull a headcap.
5Remove a book from the shelf by pushing back the
books on either side, so you can grasp it in the
middle.
6Please support book spinesand covers when
holdingbooks open.
7Keep work surfaces cleanand uncluttered.
8Please do not dog ear a page.
9Do use bookmarks that are thin, clean,
non-acidic, and will notdamage or distort
bindings.
10Do not mark or highlight library materials.
11Do not use post-it notes,
12paperclips,
13pressure sensitive tape,
14or rubber bandson library materials.
15Never force a book open.
16Photocopy gently.
17Do not expose library materials to water, which
can cause deformation and staining
18Please use Rainy Day Bagsto protect library
materials.
19If library materials get wet, please return them
to the library IMMEDIATELY.
Time Matters!
20Please avoid eating and drinking near library
materials. This can attract vermin and insects.
21If you damage library materials, dont attempt to
repair them yourself. Please return them to
the library as soon as possible.
