  the present age,

Introduction

• There is a teaching of some that all of life is
  worship / service to God.
• Romans 121 - I beseech you therefore, brethren,
  by the mercies of God, that you present your
  bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to
  God, which is your reasonable service.
• FOUR Ds OF WORSHIP - -

John 424 - God is Spirit, and those who worship
Him must worship in spirit and truth.

• WORSHIP
• Action not passive
• Participants not spectators
• MUST
• Worship is essential to our salvation

DEPARTURE

• When ones life is dedicated to God, whatever he
  does is worship/service. It is not a matter of
  Lord, we come before Thee now, for we are in
  Him and His Spirit is in us continually.
• Since everything we do in life is worship, there
  are not such things as five acts of worship.

DEPARTURE

• I have some problems with the idea of worship
  assemblies because all that we do is worship or
  service to God.
• Worship isnt singing, it isnt preaching, it
  isnt the Lords Supper, it isnt praying, it
  isnt giving. It isnt even all of these things
  combined in a 60-minute period on Sundays.

• In Romans 121 service means sacrifice of
  things consecrated to God
• Some things are right in life wrong in worship
• There is a clear distinction in life and worship
• Romans 125 - who exchanged the truth of God for
  the lie, and worshiped and served the creature
  rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever.
  Amen.

• We can go to and depart from worship Acts

• Men and angels worship and serve God
• There are specific ACTS of worship
• John 424 does not fit the teaching that all of
  life is worship

• This idea will de-emphasize worship
• It ignores the authority principle in worship
• It tends to make worship an attitude not an action

Conclusion

• Many things are OK in life Not OK in worship
• Do the dishes, take a shower, play with the
  children, watch TV
• Big Mac is allowed in life not at the Lords
  Table
• Instrumental music is allowed in life not in
  the worship to God
