Eižens Laube (1880 - 1967)

• Baltic German Latvian architect.
• Riga has more than 200 Laube designed houses.
• His best-known works are in the National Romantic
  style.
• He mainly used natural materials bricks, stone,
  metal, wood.
• Laube building ornaments were typically flower
  and geometric motifs, and his buildings were
  usually directed upwards.

• Laube has influenced from Finnish
  architecture, because in 1904 he studied in
  Finland. There he personally met with two Finnish
  architects Wasastjerna and Lindberg.
