What is New Year?

• Each year is 12 months long
• January is the start of a new calendar year and
  the date changes
• We welcome in the New Year with celebrations and
  fireworks

• At midnight on 31st December the date changed to
  the 1st of January and we started a New Year 2015
  is over and now the year
• is 2016

New Year Resolutions

• A resolution is something we want to change or
  start in the New Year
• Resolutions can be anything to get fit doing
  more sport or exercise, keep our room tidy up or
  be kind to our friends

What is your resolution?

• It is important to want to make a new start
  but we dont have to make changes on January 1st
  ..we can change anytime we want to!
