  • What will be covered in Computer Applications?
  • As you know Computers are EVERYWHERE! Being
able to use Microsoft Office gives you an
important leg up as you navigate through school
and your professional life. This is a one
semester course takes you through Microsoft Word,
    Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Topics covered include Microsoft Word --
starting a document in Word, formatting content,
using Word Tools, and columns, charts, styles and
    tables. Microsoft Excel Worksheet basics,
creating and formatting data and content,
analyzing data using formulas and functions,
adding charts and graphs, and managing workbooks.

    creating content and collaborating, formatting
content with presentation designs and templates,
utilizing slide masters and schemes, animating
    and managing presentations
  • As you can see, you will have time to explore
    each program in great detail!
  • Grading
  • Every assignment in e2020 will be graded so
please do your best on all of them. Please note
that e2020 assigns scores to most assignments. I
will always go back and grade the assignment
myself to insure that the grade is accurate and
fair. If you fail a quiz or test, you may get
stuck and need the teacher to approve a retake
before moving on. Try to avoid that! Be sure to
save all of the Apply Your Knowledge work as
    you move through the course!
  • The class is weighted as follows
  • 30 -- Assignments (Vocab, Lectures, Apply Your
    Knowledge, Practice/Homework)
  • 20 -- Quizzes (in e2020)
  • 20 -- Topic Tests (in e2020)
  • 15 -- Word Processing Test must be taken at
    Huron by July 12th.
  • 15 -- Power Point and Excel Test must be taken
    at Huron by July 31st.
  • The grading scale will be as follows
