• We want to consider why Abraham was a sojourner
  why did he wander?
• Abraham looked for a city and country above,
  not below (Heb. 118-16)
• Abraham had no inheritance (Acts 71-5)

• Christians are supposed to be sojourners as well
  (1 Pet. 11 211-12)
• Abraham was not attached to this world, and
  neither should we be
• This world is not my home, Im just a passing
  through

• In contrast, consider Lot (Gen. 13 19)
• He had a city, he had a house, he put down
  roots, but what did he get? What did he lose?
• Are we Abraham or Lot?

• The lost sinner who will not bring himself to
  obey the gospel
• The unfaithful Christian who regularly misses
  services
• The immature Christian who refuses to grow up
  always causing problems in the church
• The worldly Christian who occasionally engages in
  immorality
