An individual makes a request for a permit
stating they are the property owner.

Development Review Process
  • In 1975, adoption of The Local Government
    Comprehensive Planning and Land Development
    Regulation Act
  • Requires all municipalities to adopt Local
    Government Comprehensive Plans that guide future
    growth and development.
  • Must contain "elements" that address future land
    use, housing, transportation, infrastructure,
    conservation, recreation and open space,
    intergovernmental coordination, and capital
    improvements.
  • Amended in 1985 to address "concurrency", a
    provision that requires facilities and services
    to be available concurrent with the impacts of
    development.
