- The BCIC signed an MoU with the Government of
Karnataka on 6th January, 2005. -
- One of the major components of the MoU was
co-operation in the upgradation of Industrial
Training Institutes into Centres of Excellence on
a Public-Private Partnership basis.

for the different Sectors - The main objective of Trade Advisory Committee is
to design the curriculum and equipment
specification for the specialized module - Methodology evolved for Industry and Institute
involvement in the third phase

- Identified the advanced and specialized module at
the end of the advanced module -
- The graduates could choose any one of the module
from the advanced module and the graduates would
take up the same module to the specialized module
for a duration of 3 months, which would be
specialization area or core competency of the
graduate and expose him/her in the other two
modules for period of one and half months each.
The matrix had been prepared accordingly so that
all the graduate under go the specialization
module in their core area

- BCIC proposes to host a specific page on the MIS
Software which has been given by BCIC to DGET
which will contain the Database of all the COE
Graduates who have completed the advance modules - Trainees will be given the option to choose
wherever vacancies are available - BCIC will network to make available information
on all COE trainees on the MIS Software.
