• The SAE-IGIT Collegiate Club is one of the most
  active clubs in the Northern Region, with 128
  members this year.

• IEEE student branch, IGIT comprising of 200
  members. It provides a means for the all round
  development of students.

  this year, with 120 members from the CSE
  department.

• The literary society of IGIT

The literary society of IGIT is a very active
society of the college conducting various events
such as Debates, Group Discussions, Essay
Writing, Mock Interviews etc. besides organizing
sessions for Personality Development.

Ignited minds with a mission

• Students from 2nd year are participating in an
  annual formula student championship event
  organized by SAE international in collaboration
  with FISITA.

• Two students won the best design and 4th rank
  overall at the SAE INDIA design competition held
  at CHIMERA,DCE.

• Last year it was the fourth consecutive time that
  girls from IGIT received this prestigious award
  given for excellence in Academics,
  Extra-curricular activities, Participation in SAE
  Activities, Special achievements and recognitions
• This year, The success story continues with 2
  final year students grabbing the third and the
  fourth positions.

• SUN Microsystems conducted a campus ambassador
  program in mid Oct07, selected a student as
  the Sun campus ambassador.
• Several students of our college have been able to
  publish their research papers in various
  conferences and journals of repute such as IST,
  Indiacom, IEEE journals.

• A student from IGIT was one of the 6 students
  selected all over India for the College Editorial
  Board for Education Times, a supplement of The
  Times of India.
• Five students attended the IEEE International
  R-10 conference R-10 Student Congress
  (Asia-Pacific) from the 28th -30th January, 2008
  in Chennai as a sponsored student by Delhi
  Section and were awarded th Best Team amongst
  colleges from all over the Asia Pacific.

  year, calls from IIMs, Symbiosis, MDI, ICFAI and
  many universities abroad

• Students attended presentation on 5th Generation
  Fighter Planes by the then SAE International
  President Mr. Greg Henderson

XEBEC (MAE)

• SAE-IGIT collegiate club organizes Xebec, the
  Technical Fest every year and has seen active
  participation from students all over Northern
  India.
• Sponsorships from companies like MARUTI, LT..
• It has been organizing competitions
  like-Automotive Crossword, Mechanical Case study,
  Automotive Quiz, AutoCAD Designing at the annual
  fest.

• IEEE-IGIT student branch has been organizing its
  annual Technical fest which students from al over
  India have been participating
• Sponsorships from companies like TCS, Metro now
  etc.
• Various events that were organized Technical
  Paper presentation, Robotics, Business Plan,
  Quizzes, Literary events, non technical events
  etc.

• Educational tour to Mumbai, Bangalore, Mysore and
  Koorg, where the students visited BARC-Trombay,
  LT-Mumbai, GE, Ashok Leyland, IISC- Bangalore

Working towards social welfare

• Project Shakti- is about the Role of Women
  engineers in empowering underprivileged Women in
  India
• Each One Teach One- for educating the
  underprivileged children devoid of elementary
  education

• 2 students were awarded the Prestigious Kalpana
  Chawla Award in 06 and 07.
