The Impact

• The Time Machine was written by H.G. Wells in
  1895.
• It is considered by many to be one of the
  greatest science fiction novels ever written.
• The term "time machine", coined by Wells, is now
  universally used to refer to such a vehicle.

• Time travel is the concept of traveling forward
  and backward to different points in time, much as
  we do through space.
• In 1994, German Physicist Gunter Nimtz claims to
  have had a successful experiment in time travel.

• Albert Einstein (1879-1955) is considered one of
  historys greatest theorists of time travel.
• Einstein revealed his Special Theory of
  Relativity in 1955, which had a direct impact on
  the science communitys views on time travel.
