The Addictive Personality

• What is addiction addiction can be anything that
  can take over someones lives or it can entertain
  a person for some period of time, Many People
  with an addictive personality grew up with
  addictive parents, relatives or other adults.
  Many had too little love or had the sense of
  feeling lonely or insecure at times

Eating Disorders Addiction Of The Types

• Type One The Reformer Excessive use of diet
  pills, fasts, vitamins, and enemas. The person
  will use alcohol to relieve tension
• Type two The Helper The person will abuse food
  and over the counter medications, will over eat
  because they are love starved
• Type Three The Achiever Person will over stress
  the body looking for recognition/ attention.
  Excessive intake of caffeine, steroids, and or
  stimulants
• Type Four The Individualist Abuse of alcohol
  and sweets to alter his/her mood. Lack of
  physical activity . Excessive use of heroin,
  drugs and alcohol.
• Type 5 The Investigator Poor eating and
  sleeping habits, Person will neglect hygiene and
  nutrition. No physical activity.
• Type 6 The Loyalist Diet causing nutrition
  imbalances. More use of drugs and alcohol
• Type 7 The Enthusiast Type most prone to
  addictions and stimulants, excessive use of drugs
• Type 8 The Challenger Person ignores physical
  needs, drinking alcohol and smoking tobacco,
  leads to high stress, and heart problems
• Type 9 The Peacemaker over eating or under
  eating, lack of self awareness, takes legal and
  illegal drugs.

Overcoming an addictive personality

• Many people who suffer from an addictive
  personality will need to seek help from a
  therapist or take a course in overcoming their
  addictions. One of the programs that offers help
  to those suffering with Drug or alcohol abuse is
  Alcoholics Anonymous which offers a twelve step
  program for men and women. To stop an addictive
  behavior you have to acknowledge the addictive
  personality you suffer for and learn how to
  overcome it.
• Finding - Help -Get advice from your doctor
• - Ask friends or family if they
  know a good therapist
• - Look up in phone book for numbers
  on drug and alcohol abuse or on a local
  therapist.
• A person suffering from an addictive personality
  should consult his or her doctor first

Substance Abuse

• Substance Abuse Hints, Is someone in your family
  abusing substances?
• - Person will attend to borrow more money from
  parents, friends
• - Increase in absence from school or work person
  can fail or be fired
• - Unusual tempers
• - Stealing at home, work or school
• -Person ill tend to make new friends with people
  who associate with drugs
• - Change in attitude and how they feel to others,
  person may become more aggressive
