Title: How to thread a sewing machine'

1
How to thread a sewing machine.
2
Place cotton on the spool, lead it to the thread
guide and then bring it down
3
From the thread guide The thread will come
down, travel back up the PICK UP LEVER, then back
down to the thread guides above the needle.
Pick up lever If your thread is not in the pick
up lever the machine WILL NOT work properly
The thread will be inside the machine, lines
are for guidance only
4
Pass the thread through the guides, then through
the eye of the needle. Ensure the thread has been
recently cut to make this task a lot easier
Thread guides
Next the bobbin.
5
Remove cover and place bobbin in bobbin case with
the thread on the LEFT hand side if this is not
correct your machine will make a horrid noise,
not work properly and jam up!
6
Hold the needle thread with your left hand (thumb
or index finger) Turn the hand wheel with you
right hand a full turn towards you (the pick up
lever will travel down into the machine and
appear back at the top again)
7
As you do this you will notice the needle thread
wraps around the bobbin case. Is it literally
picking up the bobbin thread as it travels
through.
8
When the pick up lever has returned to the top of
the machine, gently pull the needle thread, you
will see a loop begin pulled through. Carefully
try to pull this loop all the way out. Once it
is, replace the bobbin case cover WELL DONE
your machine is now threaded!
9
Test the stitch on scrap fabric you may find
that the default stitch size is too big. Change
the dials down until you are happy with the
stitch size
Use the stitch selector to select the correct
stitch (in this case zigzag) Change the length
and width dials to correspond with the numbers in
the windows
