Her Life
  • Georgia OKeeffe was born in Wisconsin in 1887.
  • She was an important American artist.
  • OKeeffe liked to paint close up sections of
    flowers.
  • She married another important artist name Alfred
    Stieglitz who was a photographer.

Her life continued
  • OKeeffes paintings of flowers are considered to
    be abstract.
  • She moved to the Southwest where she also painted
    dead animal bones.
  • Georgia OKeeffe was one of the first women in
    America to become accepted as an artist.
  • She died in March 1986 at the age of 98.
