Objectives      1. Demonstrate an
understanding of the elements of art and
principles of design.     2. Recognize various
media and techniques used by artists.     3.
Identify selected works of historical art.     
4. Come face to face with major works of art and
architecture.     5. Apply the knowledge of art
appreciation in a written critical response to a
         recent museum visit.     6. Have
hands-on experience with one or more artistic
media.     7. Establish the critical awareness
of becoming visually literate in today's
world.     8. Establish a foundation from which
the student may make         critical
evaluations of the visual world and its
relationship to everyday life.      9. Broaden
an outlook of art as it relates to human culture
and         what it means to be human in the
present and past.
