High Voltage Testing

• Requirements
• Since straws operate at 1500 V, all parts of the
  module from the HV feed to the straws must be
  tested
• Design is already validated, so this is for
  production testing / QC
• Duke responsible for test setups at IU, Hampton
  production sites
• Several kinds of tests
• Check continuity of traces
• Check for arcing, current draw when all straw
  groups at HV
• Same for case of one straw group at HV and
  neighbors at ground

• Due to burn in and number of HV feeds per
  module, tests are time-consuming and
  labor-intensive could be production bottleneck
• Automation needed - goal is unattended operation

• One relay board (three per setup) with HV cable
  and connector for module HV Kapton feeds
