The ATLS course was developed by the American
College of Surgeons nearly 20 years ago and has
now been adopted in over 30 countries worldwide.
It teaches a simple systematic approach to the
management of trauma patients, treating the most
life-threatening injury.
Highly interactive course combining lectures,
discussions, interactive tutorials, skills
teaching and simulated patient management
scenarios (moulage). There is continual
assessment throughout the course. Candidates
must complete a pre-course MCQ.
