• TCP/IP Transmission Control Protocol/
  Internet Protocol
• A common language that computers on the Internet
  use to communicate. Any computer that understands
  TCP/IP can connect to the Internet.

  Switzerland came up with the term World
  Wide Web - WWW - W3
• June 1993 Marc Andreesen others at NCSA -

• HTTP HyperText Transport Protocol
• Hypertext Transport Protocol. The protocol used
  to signify an Internet site is a
  World-Wide Web site.

  over the World-Wide Web. Without HTML codes, a
