  • John Logie Baird (1888-1946) was a Scottish
    inventor and engineer who was a pioneer in the
    development of mechanical television.
  • Baird developed a color television in 1928,
  • a stereo television in 1946

  • Ruth Wakefield invented chocolate chips (and
    chocolate chip cookies) in 1930.
  • Her new cookie invention was called the "Toll
    House Cookie."
