• Isaacs Day Peter the Great was born. The
  cathedral was designed and built by the architect
  A. Montferrand in 1818-1858 and he was buried in
  this cathedral. It has the height of 101 meters.

• And you can find 72 columns weighting from
  64 to 114 tons. The cathedral is also famous for
  its stairs that go up for 101 meters. We know
  that the St. Isaacs Cathedral was decorated by
  the famous Russian artists K. Brulov, F. Bruni,
  P. Shebuyev in the mid-nineteenth century.
