5
King David is Our Example
  • But he did not reign because he had not been
    trained
  • Life is a series of CLASSROOMS, CLEARING HOUSES
    and TRAINING CENTERS
  • In order to reign in Zion, we must train in the
    Church

6
There are Three Training Centers
  • Bethlehem
  • Adullam
  • Hebron

7
Beth.Lehem The House of Bread
  • This is Davids HOME CHURCH
  • His place of calling
  • His place of anointing
  • His place of beginning
  • We must learn well at Bethlehem!

8
First Lesson is Spiritual Authority
  • He found a King to serve 1 Samuel 1621
  • Watchman Nee There is no one who is fit to be
Gods delegated authority, unless he himself
first knows how to be under authority. If anyone
of His children is independent and self reliant,
not subject to Gods delegated authority, then
that one can never accomplish the work of God on
    earth.

9
The Pattern is Apprenticeship
  • You will never have authority under you until
you have established, delegated authority over
    you. Nee
  • Name your delegated authorities?
  • The lessons of life are found in your Bethlehem,
which is none other than the House of God.
  • The House of Bread, where we are all called to
serve the authorities and people given to us by
    God to serve.

10
Second Lesson is Personal Integrity
  • David found a Giant To Kill
  • Goliath must be called out and defeated in
Bethlehem or he will attack you later in life
  • What is your Goliath? Strongman. Stronghold.
    Imagination

11
Internal Goliaths
  • Demon Spirits Ephesians 610-14 2 Cor.104-5
  • Carnal Nature Rom. 714-813
  • Tradition Ephesians 514

12
External Goliaths
  • Davids own family
  • David had to use his own proper armour
  • We can learn principles and character but we must
have our own fight of faith
  • Our Armour Ephesians 610-18

13
Third Lesson is Moral Purity
  • David found a friend to Love 1 Sam.1725
  • God intended Merab 1 Sam.1817
  • But Saul gave her to Adiel 1 Sam 1819
  • Saul gave Michal 1 Sam.1820-21

14
Davids Area of Failure
  • The snare or Moqesh, the trap.noose.scandal
  • This was the area of Davids failure throughout
his life! God tried to give David a close friend
    and confident. 1 Samuel 2016-17

15
This Area was a Major Weakness
  • Intimacy and Moral Purity was always Davids
    problem area 2 Samuel 11
  • Learn this lesson Do not minimize this problem
  • Every member must come to grips with his/her own
sexuality and find a Godly way to meet his/her
needs in this area of life. It needs to happen
    in Bethlehem
