Sulfadiazine and Pyrimethamine usually given
AIDS patients on antiretrovirals may modify
depending on CD4 counts Patients allergic to
sulfa drugs may take Clindamycin, Atovaquone,
Clarithromycin, Azithromycin or Dapsone
Leucovorin (Folinic acid) may be given with
Pyrimethamine if blood counts are lowered
