  • Seiso means cleaning the work place and all the
    machinery
  • and keep every thing in peak condition. As a
    general rule,
  • all cleaning should be done by those who have
    been doing
  • the work the best policy is for cleaning
    to be divided
  • equally. However, cleaning has meaning only if
    Seiri and
  • Seiton among all the associates are strictly
    adhered to and it
  • becomes a deeply ingrained part of daily work
    habits.

  • The associate must also take care of dressing
    himself neatly
  • and cleanly at all times.
  • Make it a habit.

  • The English equivalent of Shitsuke is well
    disciplined
  • manner. All the set rules and standards should
    be strictly
  • observed while working in addition, the
    following points

  • Before launching into 5S activities, the very
    first thing to do is to take photographs around
    the workplace. These will be very useful for
    comparison purposes when 5S is in full swing.
  • Checkpoints
  • Clearly determine the position each picture was
    taken from, so that you will be above to have
    before and after photographs.
