Baby Macaronis
  • 5 weeks is the incubation period, where the
duties of watching the egg is divided into
roughly three shifts between the parents. During
the first shift, both parents incubate the egg,
then the male goes to sea, and the female carries
out the second shift alone. The male returns for
the third shift, while the female goes to sea,
not to return until the chick has hatched.
