  • For insurance purposes an ICN project manager in
    South America tried to discover how dangerous it
    was to lay cables in the Amazon rainforest. He
    posted an urgent request asking for help from
    anyone with a similar project in a similar
    environment. A project manager in Senegal
    responded within several hours. Obtaining the
    right information before the cables went
    underground saved Siemens approximately US1
    million.
