The support package - Training
  • 7 North West training centres identified
  • The trained Facilitators working in teams
    deliver
  • 3 days face to face training for Practitioners
    with materials and supported independent learning
  • Ongoing support by Leading Diploma Practitioners.

Training Draft proposals
  • There are five key elements proposed for the
    training programme
  • 1. A Pre-programme pack requiring some work by
    participants
  • 2. Day 1 focusing on Core and Generic issues
  • 3. Day 2 focusing on specific diploma lines
  • 4. A programme of continued work and development
    supported by coaches and trainers
  • 5. Day 3 Plenary

  • High impact start to an active day
  • Explore key issue which will lead to successful
    delivery

    settings/contexts
  • Behaviour and motivation
  • Future training needs TDA toolkit

3. Day 2 Focus on specific Lines
  • Ideally in an industry/training environment
  • Explore key expectations from employers
  • Links to IAG and careers and skills development
  • Focus on a unit of work
  • Explore assessment criteria
  • Group work to co construct a unit of work
  • Outcomes shared
  • Establish a programme for continued working
  • Tasks established for completion before day 3

  • TDA toolkit or CPD development plan drawn up
  • Differentiated programmes using the VLE and
    manual
  • Work on employer engagement
  • Recruitment and marketing strategies
  • Possible links/visits with other consortia to
    explore progress across the region
  • A chance to explore and implement the learning
    from days 1 and 2 with coaching and network
    support
