  • June 2000-MCJ begins kidney and kidney/pancreas
    transplant

    performing approx 250 transplants a year

The Concept and Goal
  • To internalize and streamline the organ recovery
    process for Mayo Clinic Transplant Center while
    providing continuity to the host OPO and Mayo
    Clinics recovery and transplant teams.

Internal Procurement Department
  • With the fast growth of the MCJ transplant
    program, the procurement department grew from 2
    RNs who did both coordination and perfusion to 3
    full time coordinators and 4 full time perfusion
    techs.
