Habitat

• Emperor Penguins live in Antarctica. Antarctica
  is cover in snow and ice. Penguins spend their
  whole lives living on the snow covered ice and in
  the icy water.
• Penguins live on the ice for protection against
  other animals. They go into the sea to hunt for
  food.

Keeping Warm

• Emperor Penguins stay warm by huddling together
  in a group and slowly waddling around.
• When the penguins in the middle get warm enough
  they move to the outside of the huddle
  and let the other penguins get warm.

Having Babies

• Penguins lay eggs, but they cannot put the egg
  down because the ground will immediately freeze
  the egg.
• The mother Penguin will lay the egg and then the
  father will hold the egg for 2 months while the
  baby grows and the mother goes to the sea to eat.
• The mother will then return once the egg has
  hatched to begin nursing her baby.
