Two Promises to Abram
  • The Land (Canaan) (Modern Israel, Jordan,
    Syria, Iraq, etc.) Gen 1317
  • Physical Multiplicity seed to be as the stars
of heaven and sands of the sea- Gen 155

Two House in Torah
  • A Tale of Two Kings for the end of days???
  • Gen 491 Then Jacob called for his sons and
said, Assemble yourselves and I will tell you
what will befall you in the End of Days.
  • Jacobs Blessing of Judah
  • Gen 498-10 Judah your fathers sons will
prostrate themselves to you. A lion cub is
Judah from the prey, my son, you elevated
yourselfThe scepter shall not depart from Judah
nor a scholar from among his descendants until
Shiloh arrives and his will be an assemblage of
    nations.
  • The numerical value of Shiloh is the same as
Moses thus Rabbinical teaching tells us that this
is a reference to the Messiah.
  • The above verse establishes a kingship for the
tribe of Judah and that a Messiah would descend
from Judah (i.e. Messiah son of David)

7
God Prophecies that Jacobs descendents will be
scattered over the entire earth
  • 13 And behold, the LORD stood above it and said
"I am the LORD God of Abraham your father and the
God of Isaac the land on which you lie I will
give to you and your descendants.
  • 14 "Also your descendants shall be as the dust of
the earth you shall spread abroad to the west
and the east, to the north and the south and in
you and in your seed all the families of the
    earth shall be blessed.
  • Gen 2813-14 (NKJV)

8
Lets Focus on Two Sons
  • Ephraim receives birthright
  • Ephraim .Ephraim is My firstborn - Jer 319
    (NKJV)
  • Judah receives right to rule
  • The scepter shall not depart from Judah, Nor a
lawgiver from between his feet, Until Shiloh
comes And to Him shall be the obedience of the
    people - Gen 4910 (NKJV)

Israel Wanted To Be Like The Nations So God Let
Them!
  • Israel is swallowed up now they are
  • among the Gentiles like a vessel
  • in which is no pleasure. Hos. 88
  • God let them be swallowed up by the nations and
    they became gentiles

10
Ephraim becomes Gentiles
Ephraim (House of Israel)
Gentiles
11
Ephraim is Scattered Among the Gentiles
  • 18 Therefore I poured out My fury on
  • them for the blood they had shed
  • on the land, and for their idols with
  • which they had defiled it.
  • 19 So I scattered them among the nations, and
they were dispersed throughout the countries I
judged them according to their ways and their
    deeds. Ezek. 3618 -19

What Happened to the Lost 10 Tribes of the House
of Israel?
  • Are they lost?
  • Can they be found?
  • Has God lost them?
  • Is it possible that the prophecies are full of
passages declaring a restoration of the divided
    two Houses of Israel?
  • Is it possible that Messiah came to restore these
lost sheep of the House of Israel?
  • Answers to these questions NEXT WEEK

14
The Two House Teaching
  • To grasp The Two House Restoration teaching, one
must be familiar with four significant events in
the Tanakh (an acronym for Torah, Prophets and
    Writings)
  • Two promises made to Abraham Physical
    multiplicity and the Land.
  • Yisrael's division into two kingdoms (The
Northern Kingdom, Yisrael, and the Southern
Kingdom, Judah) after the death of King Solomon
    (Shlomo)
  • 3. The subsequent exile of the ten tribes of
Yisrael and their scattering and assimilation
within the nations to which they were dispersed.
  • 4. The Prophets' pronouncements that these Two
Houses of Yisrael would be reunited and restored
    as one kingdom.

15
Part 3a The Scattering
16
Part 3a The Scattering
Hoshea 11-6 (excerpted) (ISR) The word of YHWH
that came to Hoshea. And YHWH said to Hoshea,
Go, take yourself a woman of whoring and
children of whoring, for the land has utterly
whored away from YHWH. 3 So he went and took
Gomerand she conceived and bore him a son. 4 And
YHWH said to him, Call his name Yizreel, for in
a little while I shall revenge the bloodshed of
Yizreel on the house of Yehu, and put an end to
the reign of the house of Yisrael. 5 And it
shall be in that day that I shall break the bow
of Yisrael in the Valley of Yizreel. 6 And she
conceived again and bore a daughter. And He said
to him, Call her name Lo-Ruhamah, for no longer
do I have compassion on the house of Yisrael so
as to forgive them at all.
17
Part 3a The Scattering
Hoshea 17-9 (ISR) 7But I shall have compassion
on the house of Yehudah and save them by YHWH
their Elohim, and not save them by bow or by
sword or battle, by horses or horsemen. 8 And
she weaned Lo-Ruhamah, and conceived and bore a
son, 9 then He said, Call his name Lo-Ammi, for
you are not My people, and I am not for
you. Hosea 19 (JPS99) Then He said, "Name him
Lo-ammi for you are not My people, and I will
not be your God."
18
Part 3a The Scattering
Hoshea 88-13 (ISR) 8 Yisrael has been
swallowed up. They have now become among the n
ations as a vessel in which is no pleasure. 9 For
they themselves have gone up to Ashshur. A wild
donkey alone by itself is Ephrayim, they have
hired lovers. 10 Also, although they sold
themselves among the nations, this time I shall
gather them, when they have suffered for a while
from the burden of a sovereign, of rulers. 11
Since Ephrayim has made many altars for sin, they
have been altars for sinning to him. 12 I have
written for him numerous matters of My Torah
they were regarded as strange. 13 As for My
offerings they slaughter flesh and they eat.
YHWH shall not accept them. Now does He remember
their crookedness and punish their sins. Let them
return to Mitsrayim!
19
Part 3a The Scattering
Hoshea 9 3-5 (ISR) 3 They shall not dwell in the
land of YHWH, but Ephrayim shall return to
Mitsrayim, and eat unclean food in Ashshur. 4
They do not pour wine offerings to YHWH, nor are
their offerings pleasing to Him it being like
bread of mourners to them, all who eat it are
defiled. For their bread is for their life, it
does not come into the House of YHWH. 5 What do
you do for the appointed meeting, and in the day
of the festival of YHWH?
  • Note
  • Food This word is not in the Hebrew text. It
simply reads that they shall eat unclean (tame)
in Ashshur/Assyria. There is no such thing as
unclean food, since food (achlah) is a noun, in
Hebrew that comes from the verb indicating that
which may be eaten (achal, to eat). Tame is not
food, that which may be eaten.

20
Part 3b The Regathering
21
No Longer Lo-Ammi
Hoshea 110-11 (ISR) 10 Yet the number of the
children of Yisrael shall be as the sand of the
sea, which is not measured nor counted. And it
shall be in the place where it was said to them,
You are not My people, they shall be called,
You are the sons of the living El. 11 And the
children of Yehudah and the children of Yisrael
shall be gathered together, and appoint for
themselves one head, and shall come up out of the
earth, for great is the day of Yizreel!
22
I Do Not Bear a Grudge Forever
Yirmeyahu/Jeremiah 3 12 - 14 (ISR) 12 Go and
proclaim these words toward the north, and say,
Return, O backsliding Yisrael, declares YHWH,
I shall not look on you in displeasure, for I am
kind, declares YHWH, and I do not bear a grudge
forever. 13 Only, acknowledge your crookedness,
because you have transgressed against YHWH your
Elohim, and have scattered your ways to strangers
under every green tree, and you have not obeyed
My voice, declares YHWH. 14 Return, O
backsliding children, declares YHWH, for I
shall rule over you, and shall take you, one from
a city and two from a clan, and shall bring you
to Tsiyon.
23
The Nations Gathered to YHWH
Yirmeyahu/Jeremiah 3 15 - 17 (ISR) 15 And I
shall give you shepherds according to My heart,
and they shall feed you with knowledge and
understanding. 16 And it shall be, when you have
increased, and shall bear fruit in the land in
those days, declares YHWH, that they no longer
say, The ark of the covenant of YHWH. Neither
would it come to heart, nor would they remember
it, nor would they visit it, nor would it be made
again. 17 At that time Yerushalayim shall be
called the throne of YHWH, and all the nations
shall be gathered to it, to the Name of YHWH, to
Yerushalayim, and no longer walk after the
stubbornness of their evil heart.
24
Judah and Israel Come Together
Yirmeyahu/Jeremiah 3 18 (ISR) In those days the
house of Yehudah shall go to the house of
Yisrael, and they shall come together out of the
land of the north to the land that I have given
as an inheritance to your fathers.
  • Key Points/questions
  • The exile is not forever, but both Houses of
Israel will be gathered to the Land, and the
Nations will be drawn to Jerusalem to call upon
    the Name of YHWH.

25
House of Yisrael, I Shall Gather You
Yechezqel/Ezekiel 36 22-24 (ISR) 22 Therefore
say to the house of Yisrael, Thus said the
Master YHWH, I do not do this for your sake, O
house of Yisrael, but for My set-apart Names
sake, which you have profaned among the gentiles
wherever you went. 23 And I shall set apart My
great Name, which has been profaned among the
gentiles, which you have profaned in their midst.
And the gentiles shall know that I am YHWH,
declares the Master YHWH, when I am set-apart in
you before their eyes. 24 And I shall take you
from among the gentiles, and I shall gather you
out of all lands, and I shall bring you into your
own land.
26
My Spirit Within You
Yechezqez/Ezekiel 36 25-28 (ISR) 25And I shall
sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be
clean from all your filthiness and from all
your idols I cleanse you. 26 And I shall give
you a new heart and put a new spirit within you.
And I shall take the heart of stone out of your
flesh, and I shall give you a heart of flesh, 27
and put My Spirit within you. And I shall cause
you to walk in My laws and guard My right-rulings
and shall do them. 28 And you shall dwell in the
land that I gave to your fathers. And you shall
be My people, and I shall be your Elohim.
27
Comments on Yechezqel 3622-28
  • Key Points/questions
  • Spoken to the House of Israel, the Northern
Kingdom Israel shall dwell in the Land of their
    fathers.
  • YHWHs Name has been profaned by the House of
    Israel among the nations.
  • The nations will know that YHWH is YHWH when
YHWH regathers the House of Israel from where
    they are scattered.
  • This regathering of the House of Israel is
characterized by replacing a heart of stone with
a heart of flesh, placing YHWHs Set Apart
inside, the Spirit literally causing obedience to
    Yahs own chuqqim and mishpatim.
  • Question Is it possible for Yahs Spirit to
dwell inside someone and tell them to disregard
    Yahs laws and right-rulings?

28
Dry Bones Whole House of Israel
Yechezqel/Ezekiel 37 11-13 (ISR) And He said to
me, Son of man, these bones are all the house of
Yisrael. See, they say, Our bones are dry, our
expectancy has perished, and we ourselves have
been cut off! 12 Therefore prophesy, and you
shall say to them, Thus said the Master YHWH,
See, O My people, I am opening your graves, and
shall bring you up from your graves, and shall
bring you into the land of Yisrael. 13 And you
shall know that I am YHWH, when I open your
graves, O My people, and bring you up from your
graves. 14 And I shall put My Spirit in you, and
you shall live, and I shall settle you in your
own land. And you shall know that I YHWH have
spoken, and I have done it, declares YHWH.
29
Dry Bones Whole House of Israel
Ezekiel 3711 (NASB) Then He said to me, "Son of
man, these bones are the whole house of Israel
behold, they say, 'Our bones are dried up and our
hope has perished. We are completely cut off.
  • Key Points/questions
  • Seems to transition from
  • just Northern Kingdom to
  • the Whole House of Israel.
  • Theme Resurrection and Return

30
Dry Bones Whole House of Israel
  • Key Points/questions
  • Both Houses are dry bones until Spirit revives
them. Rashi, Rabbi Shlomo ben Yitchaki (1040
1105 CE), one of the most respected of the
    rabbinic commentators within Orthodox Judaism,
    agrees, saying
  • these bones are all the house of Israel They are
an intimation and an example of the entire house
of Israel in their exile, for they say, Our
bones have become dried up from the troubles our
hope is lost, and what further hope can we have
    for salvation?

31
The Two Stick (Tree) Prophecy
Yechezqel/Ezekiel 3715-17 (ISR) 15 And the word
of YHWH came to me, saying, 16 And you, son of
man, take a stick for yourself and write on it,
For Yehudah and for the children of Yisrael,
his companions. Then take another stick and
write on it, For Yoseph, the stick of Ephrayim,
and for all the house of Yisrael, his
companions. 17 Then bring them together for
yourself into one stick, and they shall become
one in your hand.
  • Key Points/questions
  • The Two Sticks become
  • One Stick (again) in the hand of YHWH.
  • This is a key passage of prophetic Scripture
that has not come to pass. We know it has not
happened yet because of the explanation of the
prophecy given in the verses that follow.

32
YHWH Explains the Prophecy (Slide 1 of 3)
Yechezqel/Ezekiel 3718-21 (ISR) 18 And when the
children of your people speak to you, saying,
Wont you show us what you mean by these? 19
say to them, Thus said the Master YHWH, See, I
am taking the stick of Yoseph, which is in the
hand of Ephrayim, and the tribes of Yisrael, his
companions. And I shall give them unto him, with
the stick of Yehudah, and make them one stick,
and they shall be one in My hand. 20 And the
sticks on which you write shall be in your hand
before their eyes. 21 And speak to them, Thus
said the Master YHWH, See, I am taking the
children of Yisrael from among the gentiles,
wherever they have gone, and shall gather them
from all around, and I shall bring them into
their land.
33
YHWH Explains the Prophecy (Slide 2 of 3)
Yechezqel/Ezekiel 3722-24 (ISR) 22 And I shall
make them one nation in the land, on the
mountains of Yisrael. And one sovereign shall be
sovereign over them all, and let them no longer
be two nations, and let them no longer be divided
into two reigns. 23 And they shall no longer
defile themselves with their idols, nor with
their disgusting matters, nor with any of their
transgressions. And I shall save them from all
their dwelling places in which they have sinned,
and I shall cleanse them. And they shall be My
people, and I be their Elohim, 24 while Dawid My
servant is sovereign over them. And they shall
all have one shepherd and walk in My
right-rulings and guard My laws, and shall do
them.
34
YHWH Explains the Prophecy (Slide 3 of 3)
Yechezqel/Ezekiel 3725-28 (ISR) 25 And they
shall dwell in the land that I have given to
Yaaqob My servant, where your fathers dwelt. And
they shall dwell in it, they and their children
and their childrens children, forever, and My
servant Dawid be their prince forever. 26 And I
shall make a covenant of peace with them an
everlasting covenant it is with them. And I shall
place them and increase them, and shall place My
set-apart place in their midst, forever. 27 And
My Dwelling Place shall be over them. And I shall
be their Elohim, and they shall be My people. 28
And the gentiles shall know that I, YHWH, am
setting Yisrael apart, when My set-apart place
is in their midst forever.
35

Comments on Yahs Explanation(1 of 2)
  • Key Points/questions
  • This needs little additional comment other than
to say that these prophecies have never come to
    pass to this day.
  • YHWH will take the Children of Israel, wherever
they have been scattered, and bring them into
    their own land.
  • There will be a everlasting Covenant of Peace,
which was previously prophesied in Yechezqel 34
and also by Yeshayahu/Isaiah (Chapter 54).

36

Comments on Yahs Explanation(2 of 2)
  • Key Points/questions
  • They will be One Nation, with One King.
  • According to the text, the King will be David.
In some places in the Aramaic Targummim (plural
of Targum) the Aramaic translation with
commentary on the Tanach, where the Hebrew text
says David, the Aramaic text says Messiah, Son
    of David, e.g. Yirmeyahu/Jeremiah 309 and
Hoshea/Hosea 45. It does not appear here in
Yechezqel, but probably should be interpreted as
such in order to be consistent with these other
    texts.

37
The Greater Exodus (Slide 1 of 2)
Yirmeyahu/Jeremiah 1614-17 (ISR) 14 Therefore
see, the days are coming, declares YHWH, when
it is no longer said, YHWH lives who brought up
the children of Yisrael from the land of
Mitsrayim, 15 but, YHWH lives who brought up
the children of Yisrael from the land of the
north and from all the lands where He had driven
them. For I shall bring them back into their
land I gave to their fathers. 16 See, I am
sending for many fishermen, declares YHWH, and
they shall fish them. And after that I shall send
for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from
every mountain and every hill, and out of the
holes of the rocks. 17 For My eyes are on all
their ways they have not been hidden from My
face, nor has their crookedness been hidden from
My eyes.
38
The Greater Exodus (Slide 1 of 2)
Yirmeyahu/Jeremiah 1618-21 (ISR) 18 And first I
shall repay double for their crookedness and
their sin, because they have defiled My land with
the dead bodies of their disgusting matters, and
have filled My inheritance with their
abominations. 19 O YHWH, my strength and my
stronghold and my refuge, in the day of distress
the gentiles shall come to You from the ends of
the earth and say, Our fathers have inherited
only falsehood, futility, and there is no value
in them. 20 Would a man make mighty ones for
himself, which are not mighty ones? 21 Therefore
see, I am causing them to know, this time I cause
them to know My hand and My might. And they shall
know that My Name is YHWH!
39

Comments on The Greater Exodus(2 of 2)
  • Key Points/questions
  • This Exodus is not the return of Judah from
Babylon in the days of Ezra and Nechemiah, since
the Scripture also says from all the lands
where YHWH had driven them, and when Judah was
ever in distress, the nations never flocked to
Judah to say Our fathers have inherited lies.
  • There is a Greater Exodus that will dwarf the
Exodus from Egypt, and it still is a future
    prophetic event.

40
Judahs Bow, Ephraims Arrows (Slide 1 of 2)
Zechariah 99-12 (ISR) 9 Rejoice greatly, O
daughter of Tsiyon! Shout, O daughter of
Yerushalayim! See, your Sovereign is coming to
you, He is righteous and endowed with
deliverance, humble and riding on a donkey, a
colt, the foal of a donkey. 10 And I shall cut
off the chariot from Ephrayim and the horse from
Yerushalayim. And the battle bow shall be cut
off. And He shall speak peace to the nations, and
His rule is from sea to sea, and from the River
to the ends of the earth. 11 Also you, because of
the blood of your covenant, I shall send your
prisoners out of the pit. 12 Return to the
stronghold, you prisoners of the expectation.
Even today I declare that I return double to you.
41
Judahs Bow, Ephraims Arrows (Slide 2 of 2)
Zechariah 9 13-15 (ISR) 13 For I shall bend
Yehudah for Me, I shall fill the bow with
Ephrayim, and I shall stir up your sons, O
Tsiyon, against your sons, O Greece, and I shall
make you like the sword of a mighty man. 14 And
YHWH shall appear for them, and His arrow go
forth like lightning, and the Master YHWH sound
the rams horn. And He shall go with whirlwinds
from the south, 15 YHWH of hosts shall shield
them. And they shall devour and trample on sling
stones. And they shall drink, roar as if with
wine, and they shall be filled like basins, like
the corners of the altar.
42

Judahs Bow, Ephraims Arrows
  • Key Points/questions
  • In order to fill Judahs bow with Ephraim
  • you have to have Ephraim.
  • The sons of Zion are fighting against the sons
of Greece. Weve seen indications of this
historically during the time of the Macabbees,
but during this time, Ephraim was still dispersed
in the nations. During the Macabbean period,
Judah filled Judahs bow with Judah, not Ephraim.
  • Could this be a prophetic indicator that the
sons of Zion will Hebraic mindset and are
fighting against the Greco-Roman mindset of the
    modern church?

43
Jacob a Fire Joseph a Flame
Obadyah 115-20 (excerpted) (ISR) For the day of
YHWH is near upon all the gentiles. As you have
done, it shall be done to you, your reward shall
come back on your own head. But on Mount Tsiyon
there shall be an escape, and they shall be
set-apart. And the house of Yaaqob shall possess
their possessions. 18 And the house of Yaaqob
shall be a fire, and the house of Yoseph a flame,
but the house of Esaw for stubble. And they shall
burn among them and they shall consume them, so
that no survivor is left of the house of Esaw.
For YHWH has spoken. .and the exiles of this
host of the children of Yisrael possess that of
the Kenaanites as far as Tsarephath, and the
exiles of Yerushalayim who are in Sepharad
possess the cities of the South.
44
The Fallen Sukkah of David (Slide 1 of 3)
Amos 97-10 (ISR) 7 Are you not like the people
of Kush to Me, O children of Yisrael? declares
YHWH. Did I not bring up Yisrael from the land
of Mitsrayim, and the Philistines from Kaphtor,
and Aram from Qir? 8 Look, the eyes of the Master
YHWH are on the sinful reign, and I shall destroy
it from the face of the earth, except that, I do
not completely destroy the house of Yaaqob,
declares YHWH. 9 For look, I am commanding, and I
shall sift the house of Yisrael among all the
gentiles, as one sifts with a sieve, yet not a
grain falls to the ground. 10 All the sinners of
My people are going to die by the sword, those
who are saying, Evil does not overtake us nor
meet us.
45
The Fallen Sukkah of David (Slide 2 of 3)
Amos 911-12 (ISR) 11 In that day I shall raise
up the booth of Dawid which has fallen down. And
I shall repair its breaches and raise up its
ruins. And I shall build it as in the days of
old, 12 so that they possess the remnant of Edom,
and all the gentiles on whom My Name is called,
declares YHWH who does this.
46

The Fallen Sukkah of David (Slide 3 of 3)
  • Key Points/questions
  • House of Jacob means the whole House of
    Israel.
  • The northern kingdom is to be sifted and mixed
among the nations, but not a grain falls to the
    ground.
  • Amos 9 12 is quoted in Acts 15 to help show
why those from the nations are coming to faith in
    the Messiah of Yisrael.
  • In Amos 9 11, the Aramaic Targum reads raise
the Kingdom of the House of David, which has
fallen, to stone (repair) the cities and the
synagogues/gatherings , and to raise the
corpses.to complete and build/rebuild for the
    days of eternity.

47
The Context of The New Covenant(Slide 1 of 3)
Yirmeyahu/Jeremiah 31 15-19 (ISR) 15 Thus said
YHWH, A voice was heard in Ramah, wailing,
bitter weeping, Rachel weeping for her children,
refusing to be comforted for her children,
because they are no more. 16 Thus said YHWH,
Hold back your voicefrom weeping, and your eyes
from tears, for there is a reward for your work,
declares YHWH, and they shall return from the
land of the enemy. 17 And there is expectancy for
your latter end, declares YHWH, and your
children shall return to their own country. 18 I
have clearly heard Ephrayim lamenting, You have
chastised me, and I was chastised, like an
untrained calf. Turn me back, and I shall turn
back, for You are YHWH my Elohim. 19 For after
my turning back, I repented. And after I was
instructed, I struck myself on the thigh. I was
ashamed, even humiliated, for I bore the reproach
of my youth.
48
The Context of The New Covenant (Slide 2 of 3)
Yirmeyahu/Jeremiah 31 20-23 (ISR) 20 Is
Ephrayim a precious son to Me, a child of
delights? For though I spoke against him, I still
remembered him. That is why My affections were
deeply moved for him. I have great compassion for
him, declares YHWH. 21Set up signposts, make
landmarks set your heart toward the highway, the
way in which you went. Turn back, O maiden of
Yisrael, turn back to these cities of yours! 22
Till when would you turn here and there, O
backsliding daughter? For YHWH has created what
is new on earth a woman encompasses a man! 23
Thus said YHWH of hosts, the Elohim of Yisrael,
Let them once again say this word in the land of
Yehudah and in its cities, when I turn back their
captivity, YHWH bless you, O home of
righteousness, mountain of set-apartness!

The Context of The New Covenant(Slide 3 of 3)
Yirmeyahu/Jeremiah 31 24-27 (ISR) 24And in
Yehudah and all its cities farmers and those who
journey with flocks, shall dwell together. 25 For
I shall fill the weary being, and I shall
replenish every grieved being. 26 At this I
awoke and looked around, and my sleep was sweet
to me. 27 See, the days are coming, declares
YHWH, that I shall sow the house of Yisrael and
the house of Yehudah with the seed of man and the
seed of beast. 31 See, the days are coming,
declares YHWH, when I shall make a new covenant
with the house of Yisrael and with the house of
Yehudah.

Part 3c When is the Restoration?
51
When Does This Happen?(Slide 1 of 7)
Hoshea 514-63 (ISR) 14 For I am like a lion to
Ephrayim, and like a young lion to the house of
Yehudah. I Myself tear them and go, I take them
away, and there is no one to deliver. 15 I shall
go, I shall return to My place, until they
confess their guilt and seek My face, in their
distress diligently search for Me, and say, 61
Come, and let us turn back to YHWH. For He has
torn but He does heal us, He has stricken but He
binds us up. 2 After two days He shall revive us,
on the third day He shall raise us up, so that we
live before Him. 3 So let us know, let us pursue
to know YHWH. His going forth is as certain as
the morning. And He comes to us like the rain,
like the latter rain watering the earth.
52
When Does This Happen? (Slide 2 of 7)
  • Key Points/questions
  • Both time-based (After two days.on the third
day) and event-based (confess, seek, search,
    turn back to YHWH).
  • Are the days here thousand-year days? Is
this to be understood as saying two
thousand-year days after Judah was devoured by a
young lion they (Israel and Judah) will be
revived, and in the third thousand-year day will
    be resurrected?
  • An ancient understanding of this passage is
reflected in the Aramaic Targum for Hoshea 62,
which says that this is the day of the
resurrection of the dead, made to stand and live
    as before.

53
When Does This Happen? (Slide 3 of 7)
Yechezqel 34 11-13 (ISR) 11 For thus said the
Master YHWH, See, I Myself shall search for My
sheep and seek them out. 12 As a shepherd seeks
out his flock on the day he is among his
scattered sheep, so I shall seek out My sheep and
deliver them from all the places where they were
scattered in a day of cloud and thick darkness.
13 And I shall bring them out from the peoples
and gather them from the lands, and shall bring
them to their own land. And I shall feed them on
the mountains of Yisrael, in the valleys, and in
all the dwellings of the land.
54
When Does This Happen? (Slide 4 of 7)
  • Key Points/questions
  • Israel was scattered in a day of cloud, a
type/shadow of the Day of YHWH, also described in
similar language (i.e. Day of Cloud, thick
    Darkness idiomatic from Yom YHWH).
  • Will Israel be regathered in the same fashion
Israel was scattered? (See next slide)

55
When Does This Happen? (Slide 5 of 7)
Yoel/Joel 2 1-2 (ISR) Blow a rams horn in
Tsiyon, and sound an alarm in My set-apart
mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the earth
tremble, for the day of YHWH is coming, for it is
near 2 a day of darkness and gloom, a day of
clouds and thick darkness, like the morning
clouds spread over the mountains a people many
and strong, the like of whom has never been, nor
shall there ever be again after them, to the
years of many generations.
  • Key Points/questions
  • Yom YHWH (aka Day of the LORD) described as a
day of clouds and thick darkness.
  • This too is a day unlike any other (next slide
    for connection)

56
When Does This Happen? (Slide 6 of 7)
Yirmeyahu/Jeremiah 30 3-7 (ISR) 3For look, the
days are coming, declares YHWH, when I shall
turn back the captivity of My people Yisrael and
Yehudah, declares YHWH, and I shall bring them
back to the land that I gave to their fathers,
and let them possess it. 4 And these are the
words YHWH spoke concerning Yisrael and Yehudah.
5 For this is what YHWH said, We have heard a
voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace. 6
Ask now, and see if a man is giving birth. Why
do I see every man with his hands on his loins
like a woman in labour, and all faces turned
pale? 7 Oh! For great is that day, there is none
like it. And it is the time of Yaaqobs
distress, but he shall be saved out of it.
57
When Does This Happen?
  • Key Points/questions
  • Jacobs Distress, aka Jacobs Trouble both
Houses of Israel impacted. In order for both
Houses to be in distress, you have to have both
My People Israel and My People Judah.
  • A day none like it, just like Yom YHWH, just
like the day the northern kingdom of Israel was
    taken into captivity.
  • Could Jacobs Trouble be the final
birthpangs of Messiah of the tribulation
    period?
  • The time of great distress and fear, yet this
is also the time of turning back the captivity
as Jacob is saved out of it.

58
What Happened to the Lost 10 Tribes of the House
of Israel?
Israel was scattered and sifted among the
nations, yet not a grain is to fall to the
groundboth Israel and Judah return to YHWH and
to the Landin the context of the New Covenant
  • Are they lost?
  • Can they be found?
  • Has God lost them?
  • Is it possible that
  • the prophecies are full
  • of passages declaring a restoration of the
    divided two Houses of Israel?
  • Is it possible that Messiah came to restore these
lost sheep of the House of Israel?
