CAREER Program Guidelines
  • Minimum award size is 400,000 (BIO
    minimum 500,000)
  • 5 year duration for all awards
  • Departmental letter required

CAREER Eligibility Criteria
  • PIs may compete in the CAREER program a total of
    three times
  • At the time of proposal submission in July, the
    PI must hold a doctoral degree in a field of
    science or engineering supported by NSF, be
    untenured, and have not previously received an
    NSF PECASE or CAREER award

CAREER Eligibility Criteria
  • By October 1st following the CAREER deadline in
    July, the PI must be employed as a tenure-track
    assistant professor (or equivalent) at an
    eligible institution
