Financial Planning Track

• The Financial Planning Track is registered with 
  Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards
  Inc. (CFP Board) in Denver, CO. 
• In September 2002, we became the first
  undergraduate degree program in Financial
  Planning registered in the State of Maryland.
• Allows our graduates to sit for the CFP
  Certification Examination upon completion of our
  program.
• Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards
  Inc. owns the marks CFP, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL
  PLANNER, and , which it awards to
  individuals who successfully complete initial and
  ongoing certification requirements.

  advantages for both student and the firm.

  advancement.
• College bound children of FP firms employees.
• Possible CE credit for auditing or taking for
  credit FP courses.

• Cultivate a close relationship with the Maryland
  Financial Planning Association.
• Fall 2003 meeting of the MD FPA to be held on the
  SU campus.
• MD FPA invited our FP students to participate in
  real life case analyses.
• In the future, we hope to host business meetings
  of the MD FPA on our campus.

In Conclusion

• In the long run, we all know that student
  placement and the pass rate on the CFP
  Certification Examination will determine whether
  or not the FP track at Salisbury University has
  been successful.
