Dr. Jose Poulose is a medical professional who
has worked for some of the top hospitals in India
and the US. During the years of his medical
practice, he did not charge a fee from the
uninsured and poor. He also did echo/stress test
on the needy for free.

In 2004, Dr. Jose Poulose traveled to Tanzania,
East Africa as part of a Church Missions team. He
saw the miserable state of healthcare in the
region and decided to raise 10,000 with the help
of his friends. The money he raised was used
for completing a stalled clinic project at
Morogoro, a city where infant and maternal
mortality is very high. The clinic that was set
up in this region currently provides quality
medical treatments to hundreds of patients. Dr.
Jose plans to establish many such clinics in
needy areas and contribute towards community
welfare.
