• Also know as atomic absorption spectroscopy

• Atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) is the most
  sensitive technique available to analysts for the
  determination of metal impurities.
• Are prepared by dissolution of the metal, at a
  purity level of 99.9, in an acid, usually
  hydrochloric or nitric acid.
