  • Are you worried on how long does marijuana stay
in your blood? If yes, here are some facts that
you need to know about this weed, regardless you
are an occasional or regular user.

How long does marijuana stay in your blood?
  • For those who took it for a single use, marijuana
can stay in the blood for a period of 1 to 2
days. As with the case of a regular user, this
substance can stay longer for approximately 2 to
7 days after the last use.
  • Blood test for marijuana is often required to
individuals who have been involved in crime
related activities, or accused for serious
offense. There are cases wherein a potential
employer will require a blood analysis to future
employees, especially to occupations related to
driving or on the road. In some circumstances,
insurance companies would also request blood test
to evaluate the health condition of their
    prospective policyholders. Blood test is
considered to be an effective drug test to
determine if the person is a user of prohibited
    drugs or substances including marijuana.

How long does THC stay in the blood?
  • THC is one of the components of marijuana or
cannabis. The amount of THC that stays in the
blood will depend mostly on how frequent the
person is smoking weed. THC can be easily
detected in blood after smoking. In fact, the
highest level of THC can be checked in the
bloodstream 10 minutes after last smoke. For
those who mix marijuana in food, it will take one
hour or more for the THC component to be detected
in the blood. But, for those who take marijuana
regularly on a daily basis, THC is detectable in
the blood for up to 7 days after last use.

5
  • Another method of detecting marijuana is hair
follicle test. A hair drug test can detect
presence of marijuana for up to 3 months of last
smoke for a regular user. If you just took it
once, the traces of THC can still be present for
less than a week. More than a week, you can pass
    the hair drug test.
  • Saliva test is another form of drug test to check
presence of drugs like marijuana. During a swab
test, saliva is used as sample. So, if you are a
pot user, the swab or saliva test will confirm
use of marijuana within the 12 hours timeframe of
    last smoke.

How to pass a blood test for marijuana?
  • It really depends on events you get involved. For
example, if you have been involved in a car
accident, you may be required to undergo
immediate blood test to determine if you are
under the influence of drugs or other substances
like alcohol. So, this doesnt give you the time
to prepare yourself and be clean of use of
marijuana. But, if you have the privilege to
choose the day and time to undergo drug test via
blood sample, you can do the necessary actions to
ensure no amount of THC is discovered in your
    blood
  • Get your blood pumped to promote good circulation
of blood, allowing the THC to flow in your
    system.
  • Try get a steam or sweat out to help THC leave
    your bloodstream.
  • Drinking lots of fluids will also help flush out
    THC.
