Hernia and its Types

• A hernia occurs when an organ pushes through a
  weak opening inthe muscle or tissue. Depending

Inguinal Hernia

• This type of hernia is the most common. They
  occur when the intestines push through a weak
  spot in the abdominal wall, in the inguinal
  canal. This results in a painful bulge in the
  groin area.
• Men are more prone to this type of hernia than
  women.
• Inguinal hernia though not dangerous, does not
  cure on its own. Immediate action in the form of
  a surgery is required to repair it.

  this hole closes automatically. However when this
  hole doesnt close and the intestines bulge
  through the abdominal wall near the bellybutton,
  umbilical hernia occurs.
• Umbilical hernia do not cause any trouble and
  they generally heal by themselves.
• Treatment is required only when umbilical hernia
  doesnt heal over a prolonged period of time.

Incisional Hernia

• Any surgery requires a lot of precision and

  hernia
• They occur when the intestines push through the
  incision scar after the surgery.
