Spine Care Treatment

Spine Care Treatment
Spinal cord injury treatment is best done with
Ayurveda.  The Ayurvedic Treatment Spine Care
Injury is associated with consequences such as
complete loss of spinal movements, incontinent
bladder functions, bed sores, etc. Studies have
shown that there is no satisfactory treatment
available in biomedicine. Only limited treatments
are available only for enhancement of spinal cord
function.
3
Structure of Spinal Cord
The spinal cord is contained in a sort of cavity
in the spine called the vertebral foramen, or
the spinal canal. This spinal canal is sandwiched
between the intervertebral disk/body of the spine
at the front and the spinous process at the
back. The spinal cord itself has a protective
myelin sheath that acts as insulation for
individual nerves which increases nerve
efficiency so signals from the brain can travel
faster. Other portions of the spinal cord include
white matter made up of nerve fibers (axons)
surrounding a vaguely butterfly-shaped core of
grey matter.
4
Types of Spinal Cord
  • The Cervical Spinal Cord
  • The Lumbar Spinal Cord
  • The Sacral Spinal Nerves
  • The Coccygeal Spinal Nerve

5
Cervical Spinal Cord
The cervical spine is located at the very top of
the spinal column. The seven vertebral levels
within this region, which are classified as C1-C7
from the top down, form the human neck. There is
an additional cervical-level injury known as a C8
injury which relates to damage to the spinal cord
root that exits the spinal column between
vertebrae C7 and T1. The spinal cord running
through the cervical region of the spine is
identified by the level of the vertebra in which
its contained. Cervical spinal cord injuries are
the most severe of all spinal cord injuries and
may affect one or both sides of the body.
6
Thoracic Spinal Cord
The thoracic spine consists of 12 vertebrae
levels. The are located at the middle of the
spine, between the cervical and lumbar vertebrae.
Thoracic vertebrae are considered as those that
have a rib. These levels are classified as T1 -
T12. Thoracic spinal cord injuries are severe,
however rarely cause death. Thoracic spinal cord
injuries may affect one or both sides of the
body, and although the long-term prognosis is
good, early treatment is still critical.
7
 Lumbar Spinal Cord
The lumbar spine is located in the lower back
below the cervical and thoracic sections of the
spine. It consists of five vertebrae known as L1
- L5. These lumbar vertebrae contain spinal cord
tissue and nerves which control communication
between the brain and the legs. Damage to the
lumbar spinal cord subsequently affects the hips
and groin area, and may impact the lower
abdominal muscles and thigh flexion as well.

damage may be complete or incomplete and may
affect one or both sides of the body. As is the
case with other spinal cord injuries, the
completeness of the spinal cord damage will
determine how severe the injury and symptoms will
be for the patient.

Ayurvedic Treatment of Spinal cord Injury
Spinal cord injury treatment in
Ayurveda considers aligning the spine in its real
shape. The Ayurveda experts at Parijatak are
experienced in providing treatment for lower back
pain, middle back pain, and giving backache
treatment in a less painful way- no surgeries are
involved in our treatment. We strengthen the
spinal cord, help in relaxing the muscles and
body, and strengthen surrounding muscles and
ligaments and tendons. We emphasize a location of
the spine and vertebrae with intervertebral
spaces. The stability provided to vertebral
column so as to avoid reoccurrence of the same.
We take special care in treating the joint pain
in a vertebral column.
