What Happens When the Intellectual Property
Laws Clash with the Antitrust Laws?
The laws governing the trust, monopolization,
malpractices in trade is addressed by Competition
Act 2002 of India. The competition law has
objective of inhibiting the agreements and
practices that restrict free trade and
competition between businesses. It checks the
monopolization of the markets by single entity
and helps to enhance competition. It regulates
the merger of businesses which have intention to
monopolize the market. It creates a platform to
help new businesses to grow and to support the
entrepreneurs.
