• Take courage, it is I, do not be afraid.

1st Reading

• Elijah performed an incredible miracle on Mt.
  Carmel but still had to run and save his life
  from Queen Jezabel.
• He arrived on Mt. Horeb dejected and afraid.
• As he hid in the cave, the Lord came to Him, not
  in the earthquake, nor in the fire, nor in the
  strong wind.
• God came to Him in a gentle soothing breeze and
  was comforted.

Gospel

• While Jesus was praying on the mountain, the
  apostles experienced terror on the boat. Their
  boat was being tossed by a storm.
• Then Jesus appeared to them walking on water.
  Peter approached Jesus walking too on water but
  slowly sank because he was overtaken by fear.

• Life is often full of dark daysand a lot of
  stormy nights.
• A lot of times in life. we feel like really
  giving up this time
• We are discouraged, defeated.

• Troubles in life will surely come.
• But the Lord always gives us his calm, gentle and
  re-assuring presence.
• We only need to do one thing
• FOCUS our eyes on Him and we shall be saved.
