William Allen Middle School
  • Moorestown Middle School offers comprehensive
instruction in seventh grade Life Science and
    eighth grade Physical Science.
  •
  • For our advanced students, we offer
participation in the Coriell Science Fair.  This
science fair is sponsored by the Coriell
Institute for Medical Research.  It serves as a
feeder fair for the Delaware Science Fair, which
in turn supports the International Science Fair
    and the Siemens Westinghouse Science
    Competition.

Moorestown High School
The philosophy of the science department centers
on the belief that scientific literacy is a
critical component of an informed citizenship.
Following this philosophy, the department ensures
that students receive high levels of instruction
in all scientific disciplines. Courses are
offered in four main scientific disciplines
Biology, Earth and Space Science, Chemistry and
Physics.  In addition, the department offers many
of these courses at the honors and advanced
placement levels, while providing other electives
in which all students may enroll.  In keeping
with the departments emphasis on process as well
as content, all of the instruction is laboratory
based.  Admission to honors or advanced
placement science courses require the
recommendation of the previous science instructor
or science supervisor.

Movement into the Honors program is flexible
through Honors Algebra II. It is very difficult
to go from Algebra II to Honors Pre-Calculus due
to the gap in the curriculum.
