  • Some programs require an Internship (practical
    course)

  • The thesis is a research thesis and equivalent to

Basic and Advanced Courses
  • Courses of both have to be chosen from a specific
    catalog of the study program
  • No course can be used more than once in the
    different programs
  • Basic courses in the range of 2 32 hours (3
    64 ECTS)
  • Advanced courses in the range of 12 35 hours

Free Elective
  • The idea is to make students look over the
    fence
  • Students are free to choose any course offered at
    the University and Technical University of Vienna
  • Accreditation of courses from other Universities
    is very flexible
  • 6 hours (3 9 ECTS)

Thesis and Seminar
  • A topic has to be chosen from the area of the
    selected Core Elective
  • Research thesis
  • Has to demonstrate the candidates ability to
    carry out scientific work and has to make a
    research contribution.
  • Significant part of the program gt 30 ECTS credit
    points.
  • Laying the foundations for entering a PhD program
  • The seminar is not mandatory for each program
  • 2 hours (3,5 6 ECTS)
