  • Preparation Instructions
  • Prior to thermoelectric cooling assembly usage
    you should connect lead wire to the wire
    connectors located on the hot side of the hot
    heat sink of the assembly.
  • Step 1Voltage supply for thermoelectric modules.
    Connect red () lead wire to the unit 1 or 2 of
    the contact plate.
  • Step 2Voltage supply for thermoelectric modules.
    Connect black (-) lead wire to the unit 3 or 4 of
    the contact plate.
  • Step 3Voltage supply for fans. Connect red ()
    lead wire to the unit 5 or 6 of the contact
    plate. (ONLY FOR SPECIAL OPTION)
  • Step 4Voltage supply for fans. Connect red ()
    lead wire to the unit 7 or 8 of the contact
    plate. (ONLY FOR SPECIAL OPTION)

  • Step 5Connect the loose end of red lead wire to
    the positive output of power supply unit. (ONLY
    FOR SPECIAL OPTION)PLEASE, NOTE. STANDARD OPTION
    HAS NOT POSSIBILITY TO SEPARATE VOLTAGE SUPPLY
    FOR FANS AND THERMOELECTRIC MODULES. FOR THIS
    CASE IT IS ENOUGH TO CONNECT UNITS 1 OR 2 FOR
    OF VOLTAGE SUPPLY AND UNITS 3 OR 4 FOR - OF
    VOLTAGE SUPPLY.
  • Step 6Connect the loose end of black lead wire to
    the negative output of power supply unit. (ONLY
    FOR SPECIAL OPTION)
  • Caution Make sure to attach lead wire fast and
    fixedly to avoid any spontaneous disconnection.
  • Lead wire can NOT be attached in any other way
    except for the above-described. TE Energy (F) Oy
    is not liable for any failure in operation of
    thermoelectric cooling assembly due to its
    misconnection to power supply unit.

  • Preparation Instructions
  • Prior to thermoelectric cooling assembly usage

  • It is not necessary to additionally conncet fan
    voltage supply if assembly has standard
    connections. For separate fan connection, please,
    connect red() wire to the unit 5 and black (-)
    wire to the unit 6.

  • Mounting Instructions
  • Step 1. Cut a rectangular hole sized in
    accordance with assembly type in the mounting
    surface prior to thermoelectric cooling assembly
    mounting. To ease the mounting procedures you can
    make a cut larger by 1 1,5 mm. Be sure to smooth
    all sharp edges.
  • IMPORTANT The mounting surface should be sturdy
    and should NOT become deformed after the mounting
    has taken place.
  • Step 2. Make holes with the diameter of 5,3 mm
    in the mounting surface according to the drawing
    above.
  • Step 3. Be careful while placing thermoelectric
    cooling assembly into the cut rectangular. Watch
    against insulation damage.
  • Step 4. As soon as the thermoelectric cooling
    assembly is placed in the rectangular cut, torque
    screws and washers tight.
  • IMPORTANT Use TE Energy (F) Oy holders and
    fasteners that are packed with the thermoelectric
    cooling assembly.
  • CAUTION Do Not leave thermoelectric cooling
    assembly unfixed in the mounting plate. This can
    lead to its damage.

Warranty statement
  • TE Energy (F) Oy warrants that its product is
    free from defects in material and workmanship due
    to high quality materials and the latest
    technical innovations used in thermoelectric
    cooling assembly manufacturing process as well as
    artistic skills of the staff employed.
  • Thermoelectric cooling assembly parameters fully
    correspond with specifications accompanying the
    product.
  • Thermoelectric cooling assembly is covered by
    this warranty for a period of one year from the
    date of shipment from TE Energy (F) Oy. Should
    any manufacturers defects be detected during the
    warranty period, TE Energy (F) Oy will repair or
    replace, at its option, any parts or assemblies
    which, upon inspection, reveal a defect in
    material or workmanship in the shortest time
    possible.
  • To obtain such warranty service, the original
    purchaser must
  • i) be sure to use thermoelectric cooling
    assembly according to TE Energy F (Oy)
    recommendations and instructions,
  • ii) not damage or render the assembly defective
    due to external causes including
  • 1. accidental falls or hits
  • 2. aluminium or plastic assembly parts
    distortion due to improper installation
  • 3. misuse

  • 4. careless handling or shipping
  • 5. application under high temperature, water,
    abrasive and assembly damaging materials
    conditions
  • 6. operation outside of specification limits
  • 7. excessive input voltage
  • 8. unauthorized assembly design modifications,
    its repair or full/ partial dismantle by any
    third party
  • 9. foreign particles and bodies penetrated
    inside the assembly
  • 10. removing of sticker with serial number.
  • include product identification information,
    namely serial number and model code found on the
    sticker.
  • Should any violations of the above-mentioned
    conditions take place, they will make this
    warranty null and void.

General Conditions of Sale
  • The following General Condition of Sale apply to
    all orders accepted by TE Energy Oy.
  •  
  • 1. Buyerss Purchase Order
  • TE Energy Oy anticipates that the Buyer will
    issue a Purchase Order in which the Buyer shall
    stipulate precisely his order details, comprising
    the following topics which shall have been agreed
    with TE Energy Oy prior to issuing Purchase
    Order
  • A full specification of the thermoelectric
    modules supply to be delivered by TE Energy Oy
  • Prices
  • Terms of payment
  • Delivery conditions, including delivery
    periods, point of delivery, required markings,
    Incoterms 1990/2002 applicable to the delivery
  • Variations to these standard conditions of sale
    (if it is necessary).
  •  
  • 2. Order Confirmation
  • TE Energy Oy will confirm receipt of and
    acceptance of the Purchase Order, in writing to
    the Buyers address stipulated on the Purchase
    Order. The Purchase Order is not legally valid
    until acceptance has been confirmed in writing
    by TE Energy Oy.

  • 3. Variations
  • Variations and clarifications of the Purchase
    Order shall be agreed in writing before the order
    is finally accepted by TE Energy Oy. Variations
    to the order which are necessary after the
    Purchase Order has been accepted by TE Energy Oy
    shall be valid only when agreed in writing form
    by both parties.
  •  
  • 4. Protection and Packing
  • Thermoelectric modules price includes for the
    thermoelectric modules to be protected and packed
    in accordance with the standards of TE Energy Oy
    for delivery by air freight. Any alternative
    requirements of the Buyer must be stated in the
    Purchase Order. Full details of TE Energy Oys
    standards of protection and packing are available
    on request.
  •  
  • 5. Delivery conditions
  • The thermoelectric modules price is for
    thermoelectric modules delivered FCA Helsinki,
    Finland, in accordance with Incoterms 1990/2002.
    Alternative requirements of the Buyer should be
    notified to TE Energy Oy. The price and
    alternative delivery conditions must be agreed
    between parties and stated in the Purchase Order.
  •  
  • 6. Export License/Import License
  • TE Energy Oy will obtain and pay all charges in
    connection with obtaining an Export License to
    export the thermoelectric modules if it is
    necessary. The Buyer will obtain and pay all
    charges in connections an Import License.

  • 7. Taxes
  • TE Energy Oy will pay all taxes, dues and custom
    expenses which occur in Finland and The Buyer
    will pay all taxes, dues and customs expenses
    which occur in the country of importation (unless
    otherwise is specified).
  •  
  • 8. Insurance
  • The Buyer will arrange and bear the expenses of
    insuring the thermoelectric modules to be
    delivered, such insurance to commence from the
    moment of its delivery by TE Energy Oy in
    accordance with the above item 5.
  •  
  • 9. Warranty
  • TE Energy Oy guarantees that thermoelectric
    modules or other products to be supplied will be
    new, manufactured from high quality materials and
    with first quality workmanship and shall be in
    full conformity with the specifications included
    in the Purchase Order, or such amendments thereto
    which shall have been agreed between the parties.
  • Subject to proper installation, operation and
    maintenance TE Energy Oy guarantees normal
    operation of the thermoelectric modules for a
    period of 12 (twelve four) months from the date
    of delivery.
  • If during the above period the thermoelectric
    modules should prove to be defective by reason of
    material failure or poor workmanship, the Buyer
    should return the defective thermoelectric
    modules to TE Energy Oy. TE Energy Oy undertakes
    without delay to eliminate the detected defects
    by repair or replacement of the defective parts,
    free of charge and to pay all costs of returning
    the repaired thermoelectric modules to the Buyer.

  • 10. Force Majeure
  • The parties are released from responsibility for
    partial or complete non-fulfillment of their
    liabilities under the order if this
    non-fulfillment was caused by the circumstances
    of Force Majeure, such as fire flood, earthquake
    and circumstances beyond the control of the
    parties provided that these circumstances have
    directly affected the performance of the order.
  • In this case the time of fulfillment of the order
    is extended for the period equal to that during
    which such circumstances affect the execution of
    the order.
  • The party for which it becomes impossible to
    fulfillment its obligations under the order is to
    notify the order party in writing of the fact of
    the beginning and cessation of the above
    circumstances immediately and in any case not
    later than fifteen days from their beginning
    otherwise the party cannot claim their existence
    in the future.
  • The existence and duration of Force Majeure shall
    be proved by the party claiming Force Majeure, by
    obtaining and presenting to the other party
    certificates issued by its respective Chamber of
    Commerce.
  • If Force Majeure exist for a period greater than
    6 (six) months, or for separate periods which
    together total six months, then each party will
    be entitled to cancel the order, however, in this
    case neither party shall have the right to claim
    compensation of eventual losses from the other
    party.
  •  11. Limitation of Liability
  • In the case of non-fulfillment or improper
    fulfillment by TE Energy Oy of its obligation
    under the Buyers Purchase Order, TE Energy Oy
    shall have no liability for indirect or
    consequential losses of the Buyers Purchase
    Order such as loss of profits, loss of contracts
    and loss of use of the thermoelectric modules.

  • 12. Sanctions
  • In the event of delay in delivery or reasons
    wholly attributable to TE Energy Oy TE Energy Oy
    is to pay agreed and liquidated damages to the
    Buyer at the rate of 0.5 of the price of
    delayed thermoelectric modules for each week of
    delay counted from two weeks after the due date
    of delivery until the actual date of delivery,
    not including any part weeks.
  • However, the maximum liability of TE Energy Oy
    for delays in delivery and any other failures
    wholly attributable to TE Energy Oy which may be
    deemed payable to the Buyer, shall not in all
    cases exceed a total 8 (eight) of the price of
    the thermoelectric modules which are the subject
    of those sanctions.
  •  
  • 13. Arbitration
  • All disputes and differences which may arise out
    of or in connection with the fulfillment of
    Buyers Purchase Order shall be settled as far as
    possible by negotiations between the parties. If
    the parties do not come to an agreement, the
    matter, which the exception recourse to Courts of
    Laws, is to be submitted for settlement to
    Arbitration, which is seat in Helsinki, Finland.
    Arbitration shall consider the Purchase Order,
    together with agreed amendments, the present
    General Terms and Conditions of Sale and the
    rules of Finland republic material law. The
    arbitration award shall be final and binding on
    both parties.
  •  
  • 14. Language
  • Correspondence and documentation to be delivered
    by TE Energy Oy will be in the Finnish or
    English language unless otherwise is specified.
