A Global Citizen (Oxfams definition)
  • is aware of the wider world and has a sense of

  • participates in, and contributes to, the
    community at a range of levels from local to

The situation in Wales
  • The Government of Wales Act 1998 gave the
    National Assembly a statutory duty to promote
    Sustainable Development. Sustainable Development
    is now a central priority that cuts across
    everything the Welsh Assembly Government does.
  • The Welsh Assembly Government is also committed
    to fostering a more outward-looking and
    internationalist Wales and to promoting global
    citizenship.
